SKILLED INDUSTRIAL MILLWRIGHTS
Parallel provides product and service solutions to some of North America’s largest resource-based sectors including Forestry, Mining, Aggregate, Steel Recycling, Biomass Energy and Hemp. We are a major construction contractor in Welding, Heavy Fabrication, Millwrighting, Electrical and General-Construction.
We are currently hiring experienced Millwrights to support industrial warehouse and commercial office builds in Quesnel, BC.
Projects are scheduled to be 6 months in duration. Day and Night Shifts. 10 hour shifts daily. Typical turnaround is 3 weeks on, 2-3 weeks off.
Experience in Industrial Mines and/or Mills and warehouse equipment is required. Familiarity with other trade processes is expected.

REQUIREMENTS
- Submit ticket with application
- Must have industrial field experience i.e. Mills or Mines
- Must have experience with warehouse equipment (i.e. conveyance systems) and associated Completions, Commissioning and Optimization
- Blue-print reading skills required and ability to work with or without drawings
- Excellent communication skills
- Dedicated to quality excellence with a superior work ethic
- Must be able to work unsupervised at times
- Must be drug free **
- Willing to work days, nights, weekends
- Current Safety or Training Certificates an asset (i.e., Fall Arrest, Aerial Platform, Forklift Operator)
- Red Seal Ticket an asset
SPECIFICS
- Adhere to all Parallel and Client Safety standards and governing regulations
- Prepare, assemble and install systems & equipment (i.e. conveyance systems, pumps, fans, compressors, fluid power system)
- Perform completions, commissioning and start-up for all installed systems & equipment.
- Perform Machine Centre Optimization, as applicable.
- Ensure the operability and efficiency of installed systems & equipment
- Troubleshoot installed systems & equipment and make accurate judgements to repair with minimal downtime.
- Provide expertise regarding equipment operations, general and emergency maintenance, shut down maintenance and operational governance.
- Read and interpret drawings.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with co-workers.
