The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Book shipments online and over the phone,
- Negotiate Rates with Carriers, Enter Loads in system, and follow up with Driver and Broker
- Planning Pick up & Delivery appointments and ensuring shipments meet timeframes
- Dispatch Drivers on Pick up & Delivery
- Plan, assign, and manage city, Canada-wide, and USA loads
- Dispatch drivers and equipment efficiently
- Monitor truck and trailer movement in real time
- Handle late-night and after-hours operational issues
- Ensure all loads are picked up and delivered on time
- Communicate clearly with drivers regarding instructions and changes
- Ensure drivers follow Metro Xpress policies and customer requirements
- Collect PODs, lumper receipts, temperature reports, and delivery documents
- Verify compliance for reefer and dry shipments
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Trucking business as Logistics Coordinator role
- Exceptional Customer Service skills
- Experience working with FLEET
- Professional, courteous, polite, with excellent telephone manners
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Fluency in verbal/written English
- Strong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Great problem-solving skills
