Job description:
We’re seeking dedicated and experienced Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs) to provide casual medical standby coverage for community events throughout the city. This is an excellent opportunity for local paramedics looking to make a meaningful impact while enjoying flexible work arrangements.
As a vital member of our Emergency Medical Team, you will be responsible for delivering immediate onsite medical care to individuals experiencing injury or illness during events. You will assess the situation, administer appropriate care, and coordinate or arrange timely transportation to a medical facility when necessary.
Location: Various local event sites throughout Lethbridge, AB
Pay: CA$22.00 - CA$28.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency medical assessment, intervention, and stabilization onsite.
- Maintain a high level of readiness to respond to medical emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with other emergency responders, event staff, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure thorough documentation and reporting of medical incidents.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and patient care.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Emergency Medical Responder
- Current BLS/CPR and standard first aid certification
- Previous experience in event medical coverage is considered an asset
- Valid Class 4 driver's license is an asset
- Current and clean Driver's Abstract
