Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Spray Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to a variety of products and components, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and specifications. Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
- Operate spray painting equipment safely and efficiently, including airless sprayers and HVLP systems
- Mix paints, primers, and coatings accurately according to specifications using basic math skills
- Inspect finished products for consistency, color accuracy, and surface imperfections; perform touch-ups as needed
- Maintain a clean work area by properly disposing of waste materials and cleaning equipment regularly
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves, and goggles
- Assist with assembly or machining tasks when required to support production flow and efficiency
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and spray painting equipment
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively
- Experience operating cranes or forklifts is a plus for handling large or heavy items safely
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for mixing paints and measuring components accurately
- Knowledge of welding or machining techniques is advantageous for integrated assembly tasks
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, assembly procedures, and the use of various hand tools
