We are searching for a high-performing Sales Representative, Specialty based in British Columbia (Vancouver) to join our dynamic team.
As a key member of the Pendopharm Specialty Sales Force, you will contribute to the attainment of the overall objectives for the business unit. This is an exciting time to join our dynamic Specialty Team as we recently launched a new product in pediatric neurology answering unmet needs.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, your main focus will be achieving sales targets by representing Pendopharm products and servicing various members of the health care system within your defined territory (Greater Vancouver, Island and Northern). The product portfolio includes products in pediatric neurology and gastroenterology (IBD).
Clientele:
For the gastroenterology products, you will be targeting primarily of selected gastroenterologists at hospitals treating inflammatory bowel disease, targeted colorectal surgeons and nurses. For the pediatric neurology product, you will be visiting targeted neurologists, pediatricians, and nurses at hospitals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Builds strong and effective relationships with HCP’s and key office stakeholders, tailoring engagement approaches to the various therapeutic stakeholders.
- Achieve territory sales results through the analysis of relevant performance reports and implementation of appropriate tactics.
- Delivers required territory promotional effort (targeted details/product and reach and frequency vs objectives, marketing programs achievements, project management, deliver an impactful message for the brands etc.) and ensures timely feedback and territory insights to district sales management and marketing.
- Maintains and utilizes excellent product knowledge and effective selling skills to influence key target customers to support the use of promoted products.
- Identifies, seeks approval and implements business-building opportunities in assigned territory.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, including adverse event reporting.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Strong communication, presentation and account management skills.
- Ability to develop strong customer relationships.
- Capacity to deliver results against a defined territory business plan.
- Proficiency with computer and data manipulation/analysis.
- Familiarity with scientific data and clinical research.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or related sales roles.
- Ideally 2 years experience in specialty pharma/hospital sales.
- Previous sales experience in neurology and/or gastroenterology
Education:
- University degree in commerce, scientific or related field.
- Prior specialty selling experience in pharmaceutical industry.
- CCPE accreditation is an asset.
