Due to continued growth and a busy service department, we are looking for an experienced 3rd Year Apprentice or Licensed Automotive Technician (310S) to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a supportive team, and wants to grow their career with a dealership that values its people.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, excellent diagnostic abilities, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and maintenance as outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately
- Diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and other related systems
- Use diagnostic tools and special service equipment to identify and resolve vehicle concerns
- Complete test drives and verify vehicle repairs as required
- Communicate directly with Service Advisors regarding vehicle status, recommended repairs, and estimated completion times
- Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Valid 310S Automotive Service Technician License or currently completing 3rd year apprenticeship
- Strong automotive repair and diagnostic experience
- Dealership experience considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical requirements of the role, including bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching
- Experience using power, machine, and hand tools
- Ability to clearly communicate technical issues and repair recommendations
