Duties
- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure timely payments and collections
- Perform account reconciliations for bank statements, ledger accounts, and other financial records to maintain accuracy
- Support payroll processing by verifying employee hours, deductions, and related data
- Aid in preparing financial reports, budgets, and account analysis to support management decision-making
- Conduct internal audits and assist with compliance checks to uphold company policies and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with senior accountants on month-end closing procedures and financial statement preparations
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and PeopleSoft is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and account analysis processes
- Knowledge of corporate finance principles such as budgeting, auditing, and financial services
- Excellent bookkeeping skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform account reconciliation efficiently and identify discrepancies promptly
- Familiarity with payroll processing systems and procedures
