Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated licensed journeyman plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a comprehensive understanding of plumbing systems. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining various plumbing fixtures and systems in both residential and commercial settings. The Plumber will work closely with other tradespeople and contractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of plumbing systems.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure timely project completion.
- Adhere to safety regulations and building codes throughout all work processes.
- Conduct heavy lifting as required for installation or removal of plumbing fixtures.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their plumbing needs.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for project execution.
- Basic math skills for measuring, calculating material needs, and estimating project costs.
- Capability for heavy lifting as needed during installations or repairs.
