About the Opportunity:
A leading North American energy infrastructure company is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to support refinery and industrial operations. This full-time, site-based role is responsible for leading process safety management (PSM) initiatives, loss prevention programs, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain process safety management systems, standards, audits, and documentation.
- Lead process hazard analyses (HAZOP, LOPA, HazID, SIL studies) and assess engineering risks to reduce operational incidents.
- Support regulatory compliance, inspections, audits, and interactions with insurance providers.
- Participate in facility modifications and capital projects to ensure adherence to process safety requirements.
- Investigate incidents, troubleshoot process safety issues, and provide operational support.
- Train and educate personnel on industry best practices, safety standards, and loss prevention methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related discipline.
- Professional Engineer designation eligibility in Canada.
- Minimum 5 years of process engineering or process safety experience in an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of PSM, risk assessment methodologies, management of change (MOC), and loss prevention standards.
- Excellent communication, analytical, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Pay: $90,429.61-$130,753.42 per year
