POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Survey Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the successful execution of survey projects. Working closely with Project Managers and field crews, you'll coordinate day-to-day operations, oversee field data submissions, perform QA/QC reviews, process survey data, and help ensure projects are delivered safely, accurately, and efficiently.
This position is primarily office-based , with occasional field work required to support project coordination and operations.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Survey Coordination & Operations
Coordinate survey crews, equipment, and project schedules
Support Project Managers with daily project execution
Process field data and perform survey calculations
Review drafted plans and complete QA/QC checks
Troubleshoot technical issues and support field crews
Maintain equipment inventory and records
Build strong working relationships with clients and internal teams
Safety & Leadership
Promote and lead by example in LN's safety culture
Participate in corporate and client HSE programs
Support Safety Committee initiatives
Assist with mentoring and supporting field personnel as required
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in the geomatics or surveying industry
Experience coordinating or managing survey field operations
Strong knowledge of survey data processing and QA/QC procedures
Understanding of Alberta legal survey requirements
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Post-secondary education in Geomatics Engineering Technology or equivalent experience is considered an asset

WORK CONDITIONS
This is a local position based in Fort McMurray. Applicants must currently reside in the Fort McMurray area and must be legally eligible to work in Canada on a permanent basis .
