Job Description:

Brix Café is on the hunt for a friendly and passionate Barista who’s all about hospitality and creating memorable moments for every customer. If you thrive in a lively environment, love chatting with new people, and take pride in crafting the perfect cup, we want you on our team!
You’ll be the smiling face behind our coffee bar, serving up delicious drinks and good vibes. You’ll help ensure every visitor leaves feeling like they've had a special experience. Whether it’s your first barista gig or you’re a coffee pro, if hospitality is your thing, you’re encouraged to apply!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages to our customers according to our established quality standards.
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine and beer according to our standards and responsible beverage standards.
- Operate espresso machines and other coffee equipment with care and skill.
- Keep the coffee bar clean, organized, and inviting.
- Connect with customers in a friendly, genuine way.
- Handle cash and POS transactions accurately.
- Help manage inventory and restock supplies as needed.
- Assist with check-ins for our 3-unit Hotel Brix.
- Assist with directing guests to our experiences and private meeting rooms.
- Assist with serving guests during private daytime meetings.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Previous barista or food and beverage experience is a plus, but not required.
- Food handler certification and Responsible beverage certification is a plus, but not required.
- A passion for coffee and commitment to great hospitality.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to stay upbeat and efficient during busy times.
- Dependable, punctual, and ready to jump in as part of a team.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
