We are in need of a highly engaged and action-oriented individual to work directly with our Controller. This role is essential to our growth and ability to achieve our strategic objectives. This is a full-time on-site position in the Edmonton office.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Prepare monthly financial statements, including performing initial variance analysis and investigating significant fluctuations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· Oversee month end reconciliation activities, ensuring timely completion, accuracy, and proper resolution of reconciling items across balance sheet accounts.
· Compile and coordinate monthly tax filings for North American operations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and reporting requirements.
· Prepare weekly financial reports for external stakeholders, delivering accurate, timely insights to support transparency and informed decision‑making.
· Analyze financial results and identify trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support operational improvements and strategic decision‑making.
Experience & Skills Required
· Minimum 5 years of accounting department related experience.
· CPA designation or currently enrolled in the CPA program.
· Post-secondary education in business, commerce or a related field.
· Proven ability to form productive relationships with all levels of an organization on an ongoing basis.
· Strong communication skills.
· Excellent time management.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
· Experience with Microsoft Business Dynamics is a plus.
· Experience with US tax filings is a plus.
