Landscape Operations Manager / Foreman
United Calgary Landscapes & Maintenance is seeking an experienced and dependable Landscape Operations Manager to join our team. This is a leadership role for someone who can manage crews, operate equipment, maintain our fleet, and help oversee day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will become a key member of our management team and work directly with ownership.

United Calgary Landscapes & Maintenance is a growing commercial landscaping, property maintenance, and snow management company serving Calgary and surrounding areas. Position Summary
We are looking for a hands-on leader with strong commercial and residential landscaping experience who is comfortable managing crews, operating equipment, towing trailers, and stepping into the field when needed. This is not a desk job—successful candidates must be willing to lead by example and support all aspects of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily landscape maintenance and construction operations.
- Supervise and coordinate multiple field crews.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
- Operate skid steers, excavators, tractors, mowers, and other landscape equipment.
- Drive trucks with trailers to transport equipment and materials.
- Assist with landscape construction, maintenance, and labour tasks when required.
- Coordinate equipment, materials, and manpower for daily operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop and yard.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and coordinate major repairs.
- Conduct site visits, quality control inspections, and crew training.
- Assist with snow and ice operations during winter months.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial and/or residential landscaping experience.
- Previous supervisory, foreman, or management experience preferred.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Clean Driver's Abstract (required).
- Experience towing equipment trailers.
- Experience operating skid steers, excavators, tractors, loaders, and landscape equipment.
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction and maintenance practices.
- Mechanically inclined with equipment maintenance experience.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in the field.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labour when required.
