Position Summary
We are looking for an organized Planner / Scheduler to support our maintenance department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience planning, coordinating, and scheduling work within manufacturing.
We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has strong computer and communication skills. While previous maintenance planning experience is an asset, candidates with experience in production planning, scheduling, logistics coordination, or similar planning and administrative roles are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Create, assign, and track work orders using a CMMS.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with production to minimize downtime.
- Schedule contractors, maintenance shutdowns, and required resources.
- Coordinate parts, materials, and purchasing requirements for planned work.
- Maintain equipment records, work orders, and maintenance documentation.
- Monitor schedule completion and follow up on outstanding work.
- Generate reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in compliance with company procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a planning, scheduling, coordination, or administrative role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience coordinating schedules, resources, maintenance activities, production, or logistics.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ERP or CMMS software is considered an asset.
- Technical diploma, engineering education, or a skilled trades background is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Oshawa, Ontario.
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
