Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Pump Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating concrete pumping equipment safely and efficiently on various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy machinery, construction processes, and safety protocols to ensure the timely delivery of concrete while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Operate concrete pumping machinery to deliver concrete to designated areas on construction sites.
- Set up and inspect equipment prior to operation, ensuring all safety features are functional.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other crew members to determine the best placement for concrete pours.
- Monitor equipment during operation, making adjustments as needed for optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on pump equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist with related tasks such as loading materials, operating auxiliary heavy equipment like loaders or excavators, and supporting other construction activities as required.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment, especially concrete pumps.
- Mechanical knowledge related to pump systems, hydraulics, and general machinery maintenance.
- Construction experience with skills in paving, concrete forming, or finishing is highly desirable.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment between sites.
- Familiarity with loader operation, excavator use, and general site safety protocols.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced construction environment demonstrating reliability and attention to detail is essential.
