Senior Mechanical Engineer with over a decade of hands-on mechanical design experience across commercial, high-rise residential, institutional, and light-industrial projects. Requires extensive expertise in HVAC, plumbing and drainage, and fire protection system design, supported by strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, and associated modelling tools. Successful Candidate has led and contributed to all phases of design—from concept development and technical analysis to detailed design production and construction administration—consistently ensuring code-compliant, efficient, and well-coordinated mechanical solutions. Their work reflects deep knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, NFPA standards, and ASHRAE guidelines, and brings a detail-oriented, practical approach that strengthens multidisciplinary project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the development and design of complex mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Conduct and supervise detailed mechanical analysis and simulations.
- Ensure all mechanical designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and advancements in mechanical engineering.
- Participate in client meetings, offering technical expertise and support.
- Supervise the preparation of technical documentation and reports.
- Ensure quality control and continuous improvement in design processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng. / P.E.) license preferred.
- Expertise in mechanical design, analysis, and simulation software.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel to the United States as needed (infrequently)
