Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and support kitchen staff in daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
- Prepare and organize ingredients for kitchen staff.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations, floors, and food preparation areas.
- Receive, unpack, and store food and supply deliveries.
- Assist with stocking and organizing inventory.
- Remove garbage and recycling and maintain a clean work environment.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Support cooks and other kitchen staff as needed during busy periods.
Skills
- Previous kitchen or food service experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
