Duties
- Provide attentive and compassionate care for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs.
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills.
- Ensure children's safety by adhering to health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Support childhood development milestones through structured play, teaching basic skills, and behavior management strategies.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and toilet training.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting or nannying roles is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Classroom experience or daycare experience that includes behavior management techniques and toddler or infant care is advantageous.
- Familiarity with caregiving routines for infants and toddlers, including feeding schedules and developmental activities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, children, and team members.
