Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and responsible Summer Camp Assistant to join our team!
We are looking for someone to provide 1:1 support for one of our campers throughout the summer. In this role, you will encourage and assist the camper in participating in camp activities, fostering positive interactions with peers, and helping them enjoy all the fun and excitement camp has to offer.
The ideal candidate is patient, energetic, and compassionate, with a passion for supporting children of all abilities. Experience working with children with developmental differences is an asset but is not required.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 support throughout the camp day.
- Encouraging participation in group activities and camp programming.
- Supporting positive peer interactions and social skill development.
- Assisting with transitions and daily routines.
- Helping create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable camp experience.
- Working collaboratively with camp staff to meet the camper's individual needs.
- Monday to Friday for 8 weeks
- 9am to 4pm
