Location: Remote (Alberta based - Clients are in Calgary and the surrounding areas)

We are seeking a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) registered with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta to join our growing accounting firm on a casual, flexible basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CPA who values flexibility, and wants to contribute without the commitment of a traditional full-time schedule.
Responsibilities
- Review and sign off on financial statements.
- Review corporate tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
- Meet with clients through video call or in person to review completed corporate tax returns and answer their questions.
- Ensure work complies with current accounting standards and tax legislation.
- Research complex tax issues and legislation when required, taking the initiative to find well-supported solutions.
- Provide guidance and support to the accounting team on technical matters as needed.
Qualifications
- Current CPA designation and member in good standing with CPA Alberta.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian corporate taxation and accounting standards.
- Experience reviewing financial statements and corporate tax engagements.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating remotely with the team.
- High attention to detail
