Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, ensuring they meet safety standards.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Operate heavy equipment, for lifting and positioning trailers during repairs.
- Utilize power tools effectively for tasks such as welding, and assembling components.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance performed on each trailer.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with a focus on trailers or heavy machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various mechanical issues.
- Experience operating heavy equipment and performing heavy lifting tasks.
- Proficient in using power tools and welding equipment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license may be required for operating company vehicles.
