The Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Kids Soccer Facilitator/Coach to lead two soccer sessions as part of our Summer Club program for children and youth.
Position Details
- Contract: 2 dates – July 22 & August 19 from 1 – 4 pm
- Pay: $60/hour
- Location: Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association, 5600 Centre St N, Calgary
- Total Hours: 6
About the Program
Summer Club is a free community program that provides engaging recreational opportunities for children and youth ages 5-17. We're looking for someone who can deliver fun, inclusive, and age-appropriate soccer activities that encourage participation, teamwork, and skill development for players with a wide range of abilities.
Qualifications
- Experience coaching or facilitating soccer with children and youth ages 5-17
- Ability to engage participants in the age groups of 5-12 and 13-17
- Positive, energetic, and reliable
- Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (required)
- First Aid/CPR certification is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging soccer drills and games for all skill levels
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment
- Bring your own coaching style while adapting activities for mixed ages and abilities
- Work collaboratively with Summer Club staff and volunteers
- This is contract work and will requires invoices submitted for payment
