Job description:
AEC Industrial Solutions designs and integrates world class Automation, Electrical & Control solutions for motors, pumps and material handling equipment. AEC has a committed well-trained staff dedicated to designing and providing custom solutions, and partners with top tier manufacturers of industrial automation and control equipment. AEC is currently hiring a Control Panel Technician based out of Red Deer.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
· Working from electrical drawings and schematics
· Drilling, tapping and mounting electrical components
· Assemble control panels and backpan assemblies (PLC’s, VFD’s, Relays, Switches, Power supplies, wire duct, terminal blocks, etc.)
· Wiring of control panels and backpan assemblies
· Maintain, track, and organize materials
· Uphold company values and maintain our internal culture of safety, excellence, productivity, pride, and teamwork
· Additional duties may include maintenance, housekeeping, shipping and receiving
Competencies (skills, knowledge, experience)
· Mechanical aptitude
· Basic electrical knowledge
· Motor controls and/or VFD experience is an assets
· Oilfield / Municipal / Industrial / Agricultural electrical experience is an asset
· Valid driver’s license with abstract requires
· Must possess a clean safety record and be committed to safe work practices
· Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and display excellent attention to detail
· Motivated by challenges, innovation, and finding solutions
· Excellent reasoning, troubleshooting, and deduction skills
· Work well in both an individual and team setting
· Solid communication skills, both oral and written
