Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish meets our standards for taste and presentation. Please be located in Penticton before applying. We are also unable to do any LMIA requests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
- Ensure proper food handling and safety practices are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning and sanitizing work areas.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a kitchen setting.
