STORE SUPERVISOR
Don ray Lumber (Rona) — Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia
Don ray Lumber, your local Rona building supply store in Sydney Mines, is seeking an experienced and motivated Store Supervisor to join our team. This is a key leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management of store operations and reporting directly to the General Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overseeing daily store operations including sales floor, receiving, and yard
- Leading, scheduling, and motivating a team of store associates
- Ensuring exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times
- Monitoring inventory levels, coordinating receiving, and managing stock organization
- Opening and closing the store and managing cash and point-of-sale procedures
- Enforcing health, safety, and loss prevention policies
- Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally
- Preparing reports and providing operational updates to the General Manager
- Supporting purchasing, pricing, and promotional activities as directed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years of experience in retail, building supply, or a related industry
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience required
- Strong knowledge of building materials, lumber, and hardware an asset
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Proficiency with point-of-sale and inventory management systems
- Valid driver’s license an asset
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends as required
