Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, efficient time management, and a passion for hospitality. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided to ensure success in this role.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering functions and cash handling procedures
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with sanitation standards
- Manage guest requests efficiently, ensuring a positive dining experience through excellent guest services and hospitality
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cashiering and billing purposes
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact clearly with guests and team members
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
