Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various manual tasks on-site, supporting the successful completion of projects. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in roofing, carpentry, and general construction work while contributing to a team environment. This position is seasonal and weather dependent, expect to work anywhere from 30-50+ hours per week depending on weather.
Duties
- Assist with the use of hand tools and power tools to
- Support roof work, including shingle passing, cutting, and general roof assembly
- Material handling to ensure efficient workflow eg. shingles, plywood etc.
- General demolition eg. Tearing off shingles, throwing garbage in bin, etc.
- Set up scaffolding and ladders
- Measuring and cutting of various materials
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools and debris
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Experience
- Prior experience with hand tools, power tools and roofing is great but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of basic hand tools such as measuring tape, chalk line, hammer and nail etc.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role
- Drivers license an asset but not required
