Dog Walker/Pet Sitter (Part-Time / Contract)
We’re a small, growing dog walking service focused on consistency, safety, and thoughtful care—not high-volume pack walking.
We’re looking to fill the following roles:
- Dog walkers
- Pet sitters (cats and/or dogs)
What makes us different
- Same walker for the same dogs (no constant rotation)
- Small, carefully matched groups (2–4 dogs max)
- Calm, structured walks—not chaotic pack walking
- Dogs and cats are treated like family, not time slots
Role details
- Part-time, weekday availability preferred (midday hours)
- Occasional weekend opportunities
- Combination of solo and small group walks
- Sitting can be short visits and/or overnights depending on preference and availability
- Provide updates to clients (pick-up, drop-off, notes, photos etc.)
Pay
- $18–$20/hour for walks and drop-in visits
- $40–$50 per overnight pet sitting stay
- Opportunities for increased hours and pay as we grow
What we’re looking for
- Comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments
- Strong leash handling skills
- Punctual and dependable (non-negotiable)
- Good judgment in real-world situations (reactivity, distractions, etc.)
- Clear communicator
Bonus (not required):
- Previous dog walking or pet care experience
This role is a good fit if you:
- Actually enjoy being around dogs and/or cats (not just “like animals”)
- Prefer smaller, structured groups over large pack walks
- Value routine and consistency
- Take responsibility seriously
