Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary arts and restaurant management, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while delivering exceptional food quality and customer service. This role requires a passion for hospitality, team management skills, and the ability to create a positive work environment.
Duties
- Supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling team members to ensure optimal performance.
- Opens and close the facility
- Cook orders on time including deliveries and ensure we’re meeting time expectations
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to prevent shortages.
- Implement health and safety regulations in the kitchen to ensure compliance with local health codes.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and address any customer concerns promptly.
- Develop menus that reflect current trends while meeting customer preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Monitor food costs and waste to optimize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
- Foster a positive team environment by encouraging collaboration, communication, and professional development among staff.
- Be able to cook pizzas or willing to learn to cook our signature menu items
Requirements
- Proven experience in a kitchen management role or similar position within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Pizzeria experience an asset
- Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of cooking techniques and food safety practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints effectively.
- Experience in cash handling and financial management within a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
- Familiarity with hotel operations is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
