Position Overview
Excel Career College is seeking motivated and knowledgeable Hospitality Management (HM) Instructors to join our academic team. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering engaging instruction aligned with current industry practices, supporting student learning, and contributing to the continuous improvement and success of the program.
Class Schedules
Monday to Thursday: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Requirements
All instructors must meet the following qualification requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma (or higher) directly related to Hospitality, Tourism, or a relevant field, plus a minimum of 2 years of industry experience (excluding teaching or training experience),
- OR
- If there is no directly related education, at least 10 years of documented direct industry experience in Hospitality or a related field (excluding teaching experience)
- Candidates must be based in British Columbia and have valid work authorization.
Key Resposibilities
- Deliver instruction in accordance with college policies and program standards
- Provide high-quality teaching grounded in real-world hospitality industry experience
- Facilitate a respectful, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Assess, evaluate, and monitor student performance and progress
- Provide timely feedback, guidance, and academic support
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress reports
- Collaborate with program coordinators and academic leadership
- Support curriculum delivery, updates, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor and guide students throughout their learning journey
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge and/or professional experience in Hospitality Management or related industries
- Ability to deliver subject matter aligned with real-world industry practices
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and support diverse student groups
- Professional attitude with a commitment to quality education
- Comfortable using technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administrative teams
