Our custom stair client is looking to add a workshop labour to their growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry to be considered for the role.
This client is in the South end and is not bus accessible so a reliable vehicle is required for this position.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- 6:30 AM to approximately 5:30 PM
In this job, you will:
- Measure and calculate materials needed
- Cut, Shape and smooth lumber and other materials
- Read sketches and assemble staircases
- Safety operate equipment to build custom staircases
- Take care of keeping a tidy workshop
- Have experience in sanding wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish
- Design, construct, refinish and repair
- Help load/unload deliveries
- Experience in operating woodworking machines and using hand tools to cut is an asset.
In this job, you must:
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Have a reliable vehicle
- Own a pair of CSA- Approved Steel Toed Boots
- Be a team player
- Pay great attention to detail
