About the Role
We’re looking for a Day Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily operations in our foot orthotic manufacturing facility. You’ll guide a dedicated production team, drive workflow efficiency, and champion continuous improvement. Your leadership will directly influence quality, safety, and productivity across the plant.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Develop Your Team

Supervise, coach, and mentor production staff to achieve performance targets

Run daily huddles to align on priorities, safety, and production goals

Train and develop team members to support growth and accountability
Oversee Daily Production
-
Manage day‑to‑day production schedules and task assignments
-
Monitor workflow and adjust resources to maintain efficiency
-
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions quickly
Drive Process Improvement

Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and improve throughput

Analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
-
Create, update, and enforce SOPs across all teams
Ensure Quality & Compliance

Maintain strict adherence to product quality and regulatory standards
-
Partner with Quality Assurance to resolve defects and prevent recurrence

Uphold a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Track & Report Performance

Monitor and report daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs
-
Present performance updates and improvement plans to senior leadership
-
Lead initiatives to reduce costs and eliminate bottlenecks
What You Bring
-
1–3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing (medical devices or orthotics preferred)
-
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process engineering
-
A hands‑on leadership style with excellent communication skills
-
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
-
Experience with production planning tools and manufacturing software
-
Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, high‑mix production environment
Working Conditions
-
Exposure to dust, noise, and chemical odors (plastics, adhesives)
-
Standing and walking on concrete floors for extended periods
-
Required PPE: CSA‑approved footwear, safety glasses, ear plugs, breathing mask, gloves
