Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Garbage Truck Driver to join our waste management team. This role is responsible for operating collection vehicles, safely servicing residential and/or commercial routes, and ensuring timely and efficient waste removal. For all types of trucks.
Duties
- Operate garbage, recycling, or yard-waste trucks safely and efficiently
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collect and transport waste according to assigned routes and schedules
- Adhere to all DOT, safety, and company regulations
- Maintain accurate route and service records
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers and the public
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy-duty trucks, specifically Garbage and roll off trucks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws
- Physical stamina for long hours of driving and manual handling tasks
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing schedules or site requirements
