We are seeking a dependable and professional Appliance Delivery Driver to join our team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery trucks and navigate routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload appliances using appropriate moving equipment such as dollies or forklifts when necessary.
- Assist customers with the placement and installation of appliances, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times, delays, or special instructions.
- Conduct safety checks on delivery vehicles before and after routes to maintain compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and report any issues or damages encountered during deliveries.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, moving, and vehicle operation to prevent accidents or injuries.
Skills
- Experience in moving heavy appliances or furniture is preferred.
- Knowledge of forklift operation is a plus for handling large or bulky items safely.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely, often requiring heavy lifting of appliances during loading, unloading, or placement.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and interacting with customers.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations is advantageous.
- Commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license is required for operating delivery vehicles safely and legally.
