Join a dynamic children's mental health team that provides acute inpatient care for children and adolescents with complex emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric needs. As a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Assistant (PSRA), you will be a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, providing daily structure, emotional support, and validation for both patients and their families. In this role, you will create a safe, structured, and validating environment by organizing daily routines, leading group activities, and facilitating recreational opportunities. Your approach draws on principles of attachment theory, trauma informed care, empowerment, and collaborative problem solving. You will assist patients in employing their coping and safety plans in real time. You will co-facilitate engaging group and individual activities focused on wellness, personal safety, communication, and stress management, while also providing 1:1 support when patients need a calmer, quieter space. In collaboration with regulated team members including RN's, RPN’s and Family Counselors, you will help patients build daily living skills, navigate strong emotions and apply their strengths at home, at school and in the community. To thrive in this role, you should have at least two years of experience supporting children and adolescents in group homes, schools, or community programs and be energized by fast paced therapeutic environments. Your ability to remain calm in intense situations utilizing de-escalation techniques, nonviolent crisis intervention, and brain-based approaches will help children regain a sense of safety and control. This role is perfect for you if you are collaborative, curious, and passionate about empowering young people and their families, helping them feel safe, heard, and hopeful during challenging times in their mental health journey.
