Western Midstream, a leading liquids carrier in Alberta, is seeking a Dispatcher to join the team on a full-time basis. Based in Edmonton, AB, Western Midstream specializes in hauling products for the oil & gas and chemical industries with our diversified fleet of liquid tank trailers.
Western Midstream is seeking a well-rounded individual able to work in a fast-paced environment to join the operations team in Edmonton.
The position is full-time on a rotational basis. The position requires the ability to multi-task, establish priorities and make decisions. The successful candidate must have strong organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication skills.
Salary is based on experience and will be competitive with the market. A comprehensive benefit package is included, subject to completion of the standard 90-day probation.
Duties:
- Coordinate and plan with operations management to dispatch the company’s resources and address customer needs effectively and efficiently.
- Handle customer inquiries in a timely & professional manner.
- Ensure utilization of the driving fleet and dispatch via satellite system.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Transportation industry experience and Alberta HOS knowledge
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and email communications
- Demonstrated ability to manage situations calmly and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to actively manage multiple, concurrent projects
- Positive attitude with great people skills, team player
- High School diploma, post-secondary courses, training or diploma an asset.
