Over view:
The role of a Shop Helper involves assisting in day-to-day operations, maintaining cleanliness, and tidiness of the shop floor, along with organizing inventory and providing assistance to those who need it. Tasks include restocking, operating relevant equipment, and ensuring a safe and well-presented shop environment.
Primary duties include but are not limited to:
- · Assist in the daily operations of the shop
- · Clean and organize work areas and equipment
- · Unload and load supplies and materials as needed
- · Assist in the assembly and disassembly of equipment and machinery
- · Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery
- · Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment
- · Provide support to other staff members as needed
- · Comply with all safety regulations and procedures
- · Ability to lift heavy objects and equipment
- · Basic knowledge of tools and machinery used in a shop environment
- · Good communication skills to work collaboratively with fellow shop employees
- · Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed
- · Flexibility to work varied shifts and overtime as required
- · Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
- · Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and take on new tasks
- · Assisting in arranging in-shop vehicle movement, checking in and out courtesy vehicles
Qualifications:
- · Must have a valid driver’s class 5 license and clean driving record; ability to drive automatic and manual
- Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure and fast paced environment
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
