Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Mechanic will play a vital role in minimizing downtime and ensuring safety standards are met across our facility. Wage would be dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues on a range of equipment and machinery
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative repairs to extend equipment lifespan
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures efficiently to minimize operational disruptions
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and impact drivers
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills for documenting work and collaborating with team members
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols
Pay: $20.00-$50.00 per hour
