The Opportunity
We are seeking a Design Engineer / Project Engineer to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving practical problems, working with clients, developing designs, and collaborating closely with fabrication personnel. The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of projects including concept development, engineering analysis, 3D modelling, detailing, fabrication support, and field reviews.
Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical and structural designs for industrial projects.
- Create and review 3D models and fabrication drawings.
- Perform engineering calculations and design reviews.
- Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, and shop personnel.
- Participate in site visits, field measurements, and inspections.
- Support project estimating and proposal development.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
- Registered P.Eng. or EIT eligible for registration with APEGA.
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

- Steel fabrication and welding.
- CSA S16 and NBCC design.
- Industrial facilities and equipment.
- Waste Water Treatment Equipment
- Rotary Kilns
- Plastic Recycling
- Bioreactors
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
