We are looking for an EMR and Data Systems Coordinator to support the effective use, integrity, and reporting of clinical and operational data near Barrie, Ontario. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical ability with a strong understanding of healthcare information practices and can help teams work more efficiently with electronic medical records and related digital tools. The successful candidate will contribute to data quality, reporting, and system optimization while supporting privacy-conscious processes across a busy, multi-site environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support electronic medical record data systems to help ensure information is accurate, accessible, and aligned with operational needs.
- Build and refine custom reports, dashboards, and forms to support decision-making, performance tracking, and day-to-day clinic activities.
- Monitor data quality by identifying inconsistencies, gaps, and errors, then coordinate corrective actions with appropriate stakeholders.
- Provide user support and guidance for EMR platforms and connected healthcare technologies such as eReferral tools, online booking solutions, and clinical documentation applications.
- Use Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint to organize information, analyze trends, and present clear insights to internal teams.
- Assist with configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Telus PS Suite or a comparable EMR environment.
- Help uphold privacy, confidentiality, and health information governance standards in the handling and reporting of patient and organizational data.
- Coordinate multiple requests, timelines, and priorities across sites while maintaining accurate documentation and responsive communication.
- Diploma or degree in Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Data Management, Health Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in a healthcare, health data, or information systems role, including hands-on work with EMR platforms.
- Practical knowledge of Telus PS Suite is preferred, along with experience using comparable electronic medical record systems.
- Demonstrated ability to create tailored reports, forms, or data outputs within an EMR or healthcare systems environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Familiarity with digital healthcare tools such as eReferral platforms, online scheduling systems, or AI-supported clinical documentation tools.
- Understanding of data privacy obligations, health information governance principles, and sound data management practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with careful attention to detail in a fast-paced, multi-site setting.
