Arcon Electric Ltd. is a multi-trade organization operating out of London, Ontario since 1988. We provide design, construction and maintenance services within the electrical and mechanical industries across Southwestern Ontario.
This is a new role where we are seeking an experienced Electrical and/or Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution and successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage electrical and/or mechanical projects from initiation through completion
- Communicate with vendors such as contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and specified manufacturers on an ongoing basis
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality regulations
- Review engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment and subcontractor services
- Conduct site inspections and attend project meetings when required
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Manage project variations, change orders and contract administration
- Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical and mechanical codes, standards and client requirements
- Support commissioning, testing and final project handover
- Lead and mentor site personnel
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, applicable trade license or a related discipline
- Proven experience delivering projects on time and within budget
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong project planning and scheduling abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
Salary will be based upon experience and education. Our very competitive remuneration package includes a complete benefit package and RRSP plan.
