Drive Products is a National Distributor of truck mounted equipment, and a Canadian Leader in the design and installation of truck equipment systems solutions. Due to growing business, Drive Products has an immediate need for the following at our Calgary facility:
Service Writer
Capable
- The Service Writer will be responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and for selling recommended or required services to customers. They will act as the first-line of customer relations and service representative. The Service Writer is responsible for gathering and interpreting information on vehicle condition from the Service Technicians in order to advise the customer on recommended or urgently required services and communicate this information in a professional manner, explaining the benefits of services and the potential outcomes of postponing repairs.
- High school diploma and 2-3 years of experience and/or training in a customer service role or equivalent
- Comprehensive knowledge of Hydraulics systems in both mobile and industrial applications
- Knowledge of snow and ice control systems
- Knowledge of other truck mounted equipment
- Sourcing/ordering parts as needed
- Completing/documenting work order records (NSM)

- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and external parties.

- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.

- Computer literate with the ability to learn customer service software applications (i.e. Great Plains, Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook)
