Optometric Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator (Part-Time, Growth Opportunity)

NORViSTA Eye Care is a modern, independent optometry clinic committed to providing exceptional eye care in a welcoming, professional, and patient-focused environment. We are looking for friendly, organized, and compassionate individuals to join our growing team as Part-Time Optometric Assistants / Patient Care Coordinators.

What You'll Do
- Welcome patients with warmth, professionalism, and outstanding customer service
- Schedule appointments and manage phone, email, and patient communications
- Check patients in and out while ensuring a smooth and efficient visit
- Perform preliminary testing and collect patient information under the direction of the optometrist
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Help patients choose frames and eyewear that suit their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style
- Assist with appointment reminders, recalls, and other administrative tasks
- Keep the clinic clean, organized, and welcoming
- Help ensure every patient enjoys an exceptional experience from arrival to departure
Qualifications
- Friendly, professional, and compassionate
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Experience in healthcare, optical, medical office, retail, hospitality, or customer service is an asset
- Experience with eyewear sales is an asset but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
Compensation & Schedule
- $19.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Part-time position
- Two positions available
- Approximately 15-25 hours per week initially
- Flexible scheduling may be available
- Opportunity for increased hours as the clinic continues to grow
