Inner City Diesel Ltd. (ICD) is excited to announce we are seeking an experienced Lube Technician to support the growing needs of our team on site!
The Lube Technician will be responsible for service and preventative maintenance on a variety of field equipment, following maintenance schedules, fueling equipment as required, and completing tech reports for each unit.
This is a Monday to Thursday, 12 hour per day, camp position at our client site (Suncor Fort Hills). The work environment includes secluded areas and varying weather conditions in an on-site mining environment.
The successful applicant MUST BE local to Fort McMurray and is required to stay in camp the full rotation.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment through general cleanup such as sweeping, dusting, washing, shoveling, etc.Performing oil changes, lubrication services and fueling to our on-site equipment.
- Identifying mechanical problems and reporting them to the site superintendent.
- Utilizing hand tools and power tools effectively to perform maintenance tasks.
- Able to repeatedly lift 23KG (50LBS).
- Operate pressure washer in a safe and efficient manner.
- Drive in a winter setting and work in all weather conditions.
- Effectively perform pre- and post-rental inspections on our on-site equipment.
- Conduct regular and routine inspections of worksites and equipment with the intention of identifying, assessing, and controlling all hazardous conditions.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment in the service area.
- Maintaining the fuel and lube truck.
- Communicating with crews to coordinate work and provide updates.
- Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-3 years experience working in a mine setting.
- 2-3 years experience operating a fuel and lube truck.
- Completion of all site specific training, courses, and certificates post hire.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Able to lift up to 23KG (50LBS) safely as required by the job.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Successful candidates must have following prior to confirmation of their start date:
- Comprehensive alcohol and drug test clearance letter
- Copy of valid class 5 driver’s license
- Copy of current 3-5 year clean driver’s abstract
- Copies of training certificates related to site-based work
All employees must participate in, promote, and contribute to ICD’s Safety-First culture. This includes, but is not limited to, following Safe Work practices and procedures, attending safety meetings and toolbox talks, understanding and navigating our digital safety application (SiteDocs), completing FLRA’s, using PPE, inspection of vehicles, tools, and equipment, and more.
