Overview
MedPros is seeking an experienced Senior Medical Office Assistant to join our growing healthcare management team. This is a dynamic, hands-on role ideal for an experienced MOA who is ready to take the next step into clinic leadership.
The successful candidate will split their time between working as a Medical Office Assistant and supporting the day-to-day operations of multiple primary care clinics across the London, ON. This position requires someone who is highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in different clinic environments, including family practice and walk-in clinics.
A reliable vehicle is required, as travel between clinic locations is a regular part of this role.
Responsibilities
Medical Office Assistant
- Provide front desk and administrative support at various clinic locations as required.
- Greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and maintain excellent patient service.
- Register patients and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Utilize EMRs including Avaros and Telus PS Suite for scheduling, documentation, and clinic workflows.
- Support physicians to ensure efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Complete administrative tasks including scanning, filing, faxing, referrals, and correspondence.
Clinic Operations & Supervision
- Supervise and support the daily operations of multiple primary care clinics.
- Provide guidance and support to MOAs and administrative staff.
- Assist with onboarding and training staff on clinic workflows and EMR systems.
- Coordinate physician and staff schedules to ensure appropriate clinic coverage.
- Monitor clinic workflows to ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Manage clinic inventory, including medical supplies and vaccine ordering, storage, and maintenance.
- Ensure clinics maintain operational standards and follow established policies and procedures.
- Identify workflow improvements and assist management with implementing operational efficiencies.
- Support management with special projects, reporting, marketing initiatives, and other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Office Assistant experience in an Ontario family practice and/or walk-in clinic.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a medical clinic is considered a strong asset.
- Advanced working knowledge of Avaros AND Telus PS Suite.
- Strong understanding of primary care clinic operations and physician workflows.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Comfortable working in different clinic environments and adapting to varying workflows.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle for travel.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
