We are a fast-paced pizza takeout restaurant looking for a reliable, hardworking, and physically capable team member to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role in a busy commercial kitchen and is best suited for someone who is comfortable with physical work, cleaning, food prep, and supporting the team during busy service periods.
The main focus of this position is maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen while also assisting with daily prep, including house-made dough and sauce preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Cleaning & Dishwashing
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout the shift. Duties include heavy dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, garbage removal, and general cleaning. This role requires frequent bending, kneeling, and working in a hot kitchen environment.
Dough & Sauce Preparation
Assist with daily prep tasks, including lifting ingredients, mixing sauces, rolling dough, and operating the dough sheeter. Must be comfortable lifting up to 20 kg as part of regular kitchen duties.
General Kitchen Support
Support the team with basic food preparation, pizza making, restocking, organizing supplies, and helping with customer orders when needed during busy periods.
Requirements
Previous hands-on kitchen experience is required, with a minimum of 1 year preferred.
Must be physically comfortable working in a hot kitchen environment, standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 20 kg repeatedly.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be available for evening and weekend shifts on a casual or on-call basis.
Must be comfortable with cleaning and dishwashing as a major part of the role.
Pay: $17.85-$22.00 per hour
