Full-Time Templator

Job Summary:
Valley Granite Products is a stone fabrication shop seeking a full-time Templator to join our team. This role involves travelling to job sites throughout the Lower Mainland to produce accurate digital templates of countertop areas, verifying site conditions, and providing the shop with clean files to fabricate from. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.

Essential Functions:
- Travel to residential and commercial job sites to digitally template countertops, islands, vanities, and backsplashes.
- Operate digital templating equipment and produce accurate files for the shop.
- Verify site conditions prior to templating, including cabinet installation, level, and appliance placement.
- Confirm sink, faucet, and cooktop specifications against cut-out requirements.
- Document seam locations, overhangs, edge profiles, and support requirements.
- Photograph site conditions and flag any issues that may affect fabrication or installation.
- Review scope on-site with clients, site supervisors, and cabinet installers in a professional manner.
- Submit completed template files and site notes to the shop the same day.
- Coordinate daily routing and scheduling with the office.
- Maintain templating equipment, tools, and company vehicle.
Requirements:
- Experience with digital templating equipment. Candidates with a strong fabrication or installation background a bonus.
- Ability to read and interpret cabinet drawings and appliance specification sheets (required).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional communication with clients, builders, and site supervisors.
- Valid BC driver's licence with a clean driving record (required).
- Valid work visa/SIN number to legally work in Canada.
Compensation:
- $29.00 – $38.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level.
