Overview:
We are a dynamic, high-growth, omni-channel fashion retailer headquartered in the vibrant heart of Montréal. Having established a dominant footprint with a peak market capitalization of $10B, our ambitions are massive. We are actively executing a strategic roadmap to scale to a global powerhouse driven by aggressive international expansion, cutting-edge digital transformation, and omni-channel excellence. To help lead this charge, we are seeking a narrative-driven Senior Director of Investor Relations & Treasury, to help us communicate our equity story in a powerful way to the global investment community.
Role Overview
This is a dual-critical, high-visibility leadership role combining elite-level financial storytelling with strategic capital allocation.
As the Senior Director of Investor Relations, you will be the chief architect of our equity narrative, responsible for addressing any market disconnects, winning Street confidence, and expanding our shareholder base globally.
As the Senior Director of Treasury, you will structurally optimize our capital structure, manage multi-currency liquidity (FX), and work with key stakeholders to optimize all capital allocation activities.
You will be supported by a Manager, Investor Relations and Corporate Finance, and will be part of the Finance Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Investor Relations & Market Storytelling
Optimize the Equity Narrative: Craft, refine, and relentlessly deliver a compelling, transparent, and forward-looking equity story that clearly communicates our path from $6B to high growth through digital and global growth levers;
Wall Street & Bay Street Engagement: Serve as the primary, trusted point of contact for buy-side investors, sell-side equity analysts, and the banking community. Proactively expand research coverage and target institutional investors globally;
Earnings & Disclosure Management: Lead the preparation of all quarterly earnings materials, including press releases, scripts, investor presentations, Q&A banks, and regulatory disclosures;
Market Intelligence & Feedback Loop: Monitor macroeconomic trends, retail sector valuation multiples, and competitor performance. Provide aggressive, real-time feedback to the executive team (CEO/CFO) regarding market perceptions and sentiment.
2. Global Treasury & Capital Structure Strategy
Growth Funding Execution: Evaluate, secure, and manage the debt and equity funding structures required to capitalize international market entry and heavy digital tech-stack investments;
FX & Multi-Currency Risk Management: Develop and execute sophisticated hedging strategies to mitigate foreign exchange risks as the brand scales across North America, Europe, and new international jurisdictions in the future;
Liquidity & Cash Flow Optimization: Oversee global cash management, liquidity forecasting, and working capital optimization across all physical and E-commerce retail channels;
Banking Relationships: Lead and optimize relationships with international syndicates, commercial banks, and credit providers to ensure competitive terms and flexible capital access.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
Experience
The Blueprint: Minimum of 10–12+ years of progressive experience in Investor Relations, Corporate Treasury, Investment Banking, or Equity Research;
The Industry Factor: Deep familiarity with consumer-facing sectors (Fashion, Omni-channel Retail, or E-commerce) is highly desirable. Experience managing multi-billion-dollar market caps is a must. Experience in high-growth TECH companies is also a great asset;
The Global Track Record: Proven experience in managing international corporate finance complexities (multi-currency operations, cross-border banking, global capital markets).
Skills & Knowledge
Master Storyteller: Exceptional communication skills with the rare ability to translate complex omni-channel metrics, retail data, and financial models into a clear, inspiring growth narrative;
Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of capital markets, US GAAP/IFRS, SEC/SEDAR compliance, valuation methodologies, and advanced FX hedging instruments;
Values: You over-index on our 5 core values, namely Ownership–Customer Focus–Curiosity–Passion–Empathy. More specifically for this role, curiosity and empathy are musthaves to ensure success;
Bilingualism: Fluency in English is mandatory for global investor communication; professional proficiency or fluency in French is highly preferred given our Montréal headquarters.
Education & Designations
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field;
CFA, CPA, or CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) designation is strongly preferred.
