Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement a high-quality, engaging program for children ages 3–5, incorporating age-appropriate activities, play-based learning, and Reggio based early learning curriculum
- Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel supported, confident, and encouraged to thrive
- Support each child’s individual growth by recognizing their unique strengths, interests, and developmental needs
- Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through meaningful experiences, guided learning, and hands-on exploration
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and collaboration within the classroom team to ensure a positive, organized, and supportive learning environment
- Build strong, professional relationships with families through open communication regarding children’s development, daily experiences, and milestones
- Observe, document, and monitor children’s progress to support developmental goals and program planning
- Maintain a well-organized classroom while ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and centre policies
- Promote positive behaviour guidance strategies and model respectful, caring interactions with children and staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of special education practices and techniques is beneficial
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a classroom
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using computerized systems for record keeping
