Who We Are:
Pacific Rim Engineered Products (PREP), a Wikov Company, is a growing provider of high‑quality, reliable, and innovative engineered solutions. Serving the mining, energy, marine, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors, we offer advanced engineering, product innovation, and deep technical expertise. We pride ourselves on turning complex challenges into practical and elegant solutions.
Role:
The Senior Sales Manager leads the sales function for PREP and coordinates the technical sales team across Western Canada and into the United States. This is a hands on role that combines active selling with team leadership. The person owns the sales pipeline, runs the sales and marketing rhythm of the business, and is the first point of commercial review on customer contracts. They are expected to be in front of customers regularly, on the phone closing, and at the table when terms and risk are negotiated. The role suits an experienced salesperson who wants to build and lead a team while staying close to the customer.
This is a field and customer facing role, the person is expected to travel, visit customers in person, and sell actively.
This is a base plus commission role with strong earning potential for someone who sells and closes. The figure shown is base salary, with commission and bonus on top.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the technical sales team. Set priorities, run sales meetings, and drive deals to close rather than letting them linger.
- Carry a personal sales mandate. Develop new business, visit customers, and make the calls that move opportunities forward.
- Act as the first commercial review on customer contracts and tenders. Read the document, flag the main risks and liabilities, and bring the right people to the table to resolve them quickly.
- Own the sales and marketing plan with senior management, including targets, forecast, and the materials that support the team.
- Coordinate quotation and RFQ activity with estimation and engineering so customers receive timely and accurate proposals.
- Support the Houston operation and United States opportunities in coordination with the US team.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners across the represented territory.
- Report pipeline, forecast, and results to the President on an agreed cadence.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in technical or industrial sales, ideally in an engineered product or OEM environment.
- A track record of closing, not only prospecting. Comfortable in front of customers and on the phone.
- Able to read a commercial contract and identify the main risks, liabilities, and terms that need attention.
- Experience coordinating or leading a small sales team, or clear readiness to step into that responsibility.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Degree in business or engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Willing and able to travel, including to the United States. Valid passport and driver licence.
